Customizing your Dock
To add a folder or application to your dock, just drag and drop it to the dock.
To move applications, drag to the location you want the icon to be.
For folders, drag and drop them to the left of the Trash Can.
You can also open the application and right-click (or control + click) and choose Options and Keep in Dock.
To remove an item from your dock, right-click (or control + click) on the App icon and choose Options
and Remove from Dock.
Using the Finder
The Finder shows you the contents of you Mac, Capella Drive or any other storage device.
To open your Finder Window, click on the icon this will open a window where you can then browse to Recent activity, Applications, or any network or storage device by using the sidebar.
Search for Files, Folders or Applications
To search with Spotlight, click on the magnifying glass in the menu bar, or press Command + Spacebar on your keyboard.
You can also search from any Finder window using the search field in the upper-right of the window.
Note: This will only search the location you have chosen.
Adding an Alias (shortcut) to your Desktop
Click on the Finder icon in the bottom-left of the screen (usually the leftmost icon in the Dock).
Right-click (control+click) on the Folder, File, or Application you would like to create the shortcut for.
Select "Make Alias".
Taking Screenshots
Select an area to take a picture: Shift + Command + 4
Full window picture: Shift + Command + 3
For On-Screen Capture Controls: Shift + Command + 5
Note: The thumbnail will briefly appear in the corner prior to auto-saving to your desktop.
Tip: Mojave and Later OS have the option to record what is on your screen!
