27 STEPS
1 Hello and welcome to our guide on Creating a Meeting for Google Hangouts Meet!
2 First, let's navigate to www.Google.com in a web browser. We're going to start the process by creating an invite in Google Calendar.
3
TIP: Make sure you are logged in with your PSD Credntials!
4 Click on the "waffle" in the upper-right side.
5 Click on the "Calendar" Icon.
6 Find an open area on your Calendar and double-click it.
7 TIP: You can also click the "Create" button in the upper left.
8 Add a Title.
9 Edit any details for the Meeting, such as Date, time, recurrence, etc.
10 Click "Add conferencing".
11 Click "Hangouts Meet".
12 Select the correct calendar. You want to use your PSD Account Name, not a personal Google calendar or school calendar.
13 Now click "Save".
14 Your Meeting is all set!
We will now need to grab the link to the Meeting so we can forward it to the people we want in the Meeting.
15 Click on the Meeting Event we just created.
We must do this step as there is no current way to forward the meeting directly from the Calendar.
16 Click on the "pencil" icon to Edit the Calendar Event.
17 Your Meeting is all set!
18 Click the down arrow next to the "Join Hangouts Meet".
19 Here you will see all of the options to get to the Meeting including the telephone number for users to call in.
20 Right Click on the blue "Meeting ID" and then choose "Copy Hyperlink".
21 Click Save.
22 Tip: If you only need the link, you can also access it from the main Calendar page by clicking on the Event, then the "Copy" icon.
23 Now open up your District Email and create a new Email Message.
24 Here you can add anyone you want in the "To:" field including staff groups or Parent Emails.
25 Add a Subject such as "Google hangouts Meet".
26 Paste the link from Step 20 in your Message Body.
27 Click the "Send" button.
You're all set! You have now sent the link to the Meeting you made in Google Calendar for your upcoming Google Hangouts Meet!
