Staring Monday, June 15th, there will be a change to how you log into the current Avaya One-X Communicator Application due to the phone system upgrade. If you’re not using this application, please ignore.
Since 7-digit dialing will be taking place with the new phone system, remote users will need to reconfigure their PC client to their new 7-digit extension. Password will remain the same (no change), but the extension will be 7-digits (current 4-digit number + prefix assigned). If you’re supporting a phone support line, please make sure you’re able to login to your extension and you’re still able to sign in/out of the help line you’re supporting.
How To Reconfigure Extension in Avaya One-X Communicator Application:
Open the app, click on the “Gear” icon, and click on “Settings”.
In General Settings under Accounts, you should see “Telephony” and update the “Extension” field ONLY with your 7-digit extension. Click “OK”.
From there, you should be able to log into the application and continue to utilize the application as normal.
If you’re experiencing issues, please contact the IT Support Center via ticket (help.psdschools.org) or email (helpdesk@psdschools.org).
Again, this will need to be done starting Monday June 15th.
Additional information:
Avaya One-X Communicator application will be replaced by the new Avaya IX Workplace application in the near future. More information to come to those teams who log into phone support lines.
