If you don't have all of your Applications on your Desktop or you just installed an application it's handy to know how to search to quickly and efficiently find it.
There are two ways to search for an Application:
- Search Box: Allows you to search with full or part of a word.
- Start Menu: Allows you to search with full or part of a word or via an alphabetized list.
Search Box
1. Begin typing your application name in the Search Box in the bottom-left of the Desktop until the result you were looking for shows up.
Tip: Not seeing your Application? Double-check your spelling or remove a few letters if you aren't sure of the spelling.
Start Menu
1. Click on the Start Menu icon in the bottom-left of the Desktop.
2. Follow the instruction of the previous section, "Search Box".
-or-
3. Scroll down the alphabetical list on the left side of the Start Menu to find your Application.
4. You're all set! You can now Search for Applications in Windows.
